計畫簡介：
本計畫為一應用性之研究，基於世界人口老化趨勢已然形成，全球老化問題研究受到各國關注，然國內老年學整合研究方興未艾，認為台灣重視跨學域之老年研究將是時勢所趨。而老年研究需以充分完整的研究資源之建置為基礎，因此，本研究計畫分三階段有系統進行老年研究資源調查，老年研究人員資訊需求調查，以及老年研究資源使用評鑑。本年度以老年研究資源調查知完整度為主要目標，收集包含期刊論文、博碩士論文、政府計畫、法規資料、統計資源、出國考察報告、產業資源、趨勢（產業）書籍等類型等各類型資源，同時亦建立一主題分類方式，並應用於老人學整合資源網之建置。

Abstract
管理學大師彼得杜拉克在「下一個社會」一書指出，未來十年全球社會將面臨急速老化的現象。高齡化社會及其衍生之議題近年來已是全球關注的焦點。圖書館界在數位時代的進程中，另一個重要議題為如何為老年人提供適切服務，其中牽涉對老人特性與需求的瞭解，以及老人學發展趨勢的觀察。本文擬就此一議題，探討圖書館在數位時代提供老年服務的角色及應有之認識。

計畫：「研究方法」數位學習資源系統建置與評估研究

計畫簡介：
本計畫為教育部「專案補助人文社科領域提升研究能量計畫」中，「數位圖書館與人機互動趨勢與應用整合型計畫」下之子計畫。分為三年進程，第一年計畫：數位學習資源系統之建立；第二年計畫：數位學習資源系統之評估、改善與維護；第三年計畫：數位學習資源系統經驗之推廣與評估。以本系研究所「研究方法」課程為起點，發展支援此類課程之數位化學習資源及經驗。本計畫亦以協同合作為理念，邀請國內外相關專業人員共同進行研究。預期目的包含以下幾項：
1.與國、內外學者交流，達成與國際接軌之理念，並將教學與研究合一，發展一套適用於研究方法課程之數位學習資源系統。
2.評估該數位學習資源系統之使用狀況，使其能發揮最高效用，提升博、碩士生之學習情境及學習效果。
3.將建置數位學習資源系統之經驗應用至其他課程中，協助教學歷程之調整。

第一年計畫於2008年執行，本年度邀請瑞典Boras大學的Diane H. Sonnenwald教授來台，共同參與系統建置工作。

1.主題：Collaboration among Library and Information Science Professionals Across Distances: Needs and Challenges

摘要：Increasingly, library science professionals, researchers and educators face complex problems that might best be solved through collaboration with others across institutions and geographical distances. Collaboratories have emerged as an effective approach to promoting collaboration across geographic distances. To date, collaboratory research and development has primarily focused on supporting natural science research and engineering. There is a need to expand the focus of collaboratory research to include additional disciplines and professions to avoid the creation of a disciplinary digital divide. For this talk, there are two researches demostrated. A study of exploring the potential of video technologies for collaboration in emergency medical care and another study of exploring the needs and challenges with respect to the creation and adoption of a collaboratory for library science professionals are included.

摘要：Scientific collaboration continues to increase in frequency and importance. It has the potential to solve complex scientific problems and promote various political, economic and social agendas, such as democracy, sustainable development, and cultural understanding and integration. Increasingly, public and private research funding agencies require interdisciplinary, international and inter-institutional collaboration. Scientific collaboratories, allowing scientists both known and unknown to each other to interact and share tools, data, and other artifacts, have emerged as one new way of conducting scientific collaboration across geographic distances. In this talk, Dr. Sonnenwald will present examples of collaboratories that she and her colleagues established, and discuss the challenges and solutions that emerged in the collaboratories.
